Good location, very pleasant and attentive staff, very attractive ground floor lobby, good price.
Getting WiFi only in the lobby area was an inconvenience, I couldn't pick it up in the lounge area where there were chairs and tables, so I had to perch on a chair in the lobby with the computer in my lap to get my email. I never like paying the extra $10.00 for WiFi in the room when so many hotels provide it without charge as a part of their service. Also, it would be nice if there was a printed guide in the room that showed where local restaurants and services were within the range of a few blocks, knowing there was a Starbucks only a block away on my first morning would have been very, very nice.
Staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. Did not miss a beat...My kids came to see me for my birthday and the young lady working at the Enterprise Rental car location in Del Rio, tx reccomended your hotel. She certainly did not steer me wrong. Enjoyed it a bunch...
Presantation, location,staff, overall appearance.
The interior of the lobby was nice, the room we stayed in seemed big and comfortable.
Unfortunately the beds were old and squeaky. I barely slept. I wanted to contect the hotel by e mail to request a receipt but it is not possible to do this, since their online inquiries don't work and there is no alternative e-mail shown.
I liked everything about this hotel. I have stayed on the Riverwalk many times. I will check this hotel before the others from now on. I can walk 2 blocks easily and the price was wonderful.
The rooms with 2 beds were several times larger than my room with one bed. And the rooms with 2 beds had 2 bathrooms, too.
We choose the hotel because of location and the history of the hotel, BUT besides an impressive victorian style lobby it was very disappointing.
The rooms and baths were small looked like never remodeled within the last century. I would only recommend the hotel to people who have a fetish for these kind of old style hotels and like the smell and atmosphere of an antique shop.
We like older hotels with history and St. Anthony Riverwalk lived up to both. Room was clean, nice and will appointed. For guests looking to be on the Riverwalk, you are not, but a nice 3 block walk from the hotel - not an issue for us. Would rather be a few blocks for all the noise and crowds. Price was very good for a Friday night stay. Overall would give the St. Anthony a 4 star rating.
Parking gee, but the same with all downtown hotels.
i didnt like the very squeaky bed and the "old" smell inside the room.
Very cool staying in a building that old, yet modernized with typical amenities. The staff was excellent. The restraunt, sufficient. All in all a very pleasant surprise for the reasonable price.
Bathrooms should have better vent system. Paint was peeling in some areas. Air conditioning probably could be improved, it is a very hot place to be at the end of June
The beds are too hard and rooms are small
The staff. this can make or break the pleasure of a visit. Everyone was most helpful. This starts at the front desk to the housekeeping staff. All I encountered were helpfull and friendly. The building itself was old but definatly maintained well. I was satisfied for the price I paid.
I could have used a small refridgerater in our room. Having to keep things cool with an icebucket was a bit cumbersom.
The common areas were very beautiful and inviting.
The room needed a lot of work. The bathroom was poor, the sink dripped all night keeping us awake and the water in the shower head came out before the fixture and on our shoulders not leaving enough pressure to get shampoo out of my hair. The paint around the room was peeling on the windows and ceiling.
I love the nostalgic wood trim and the French Decor. It was a beautiful hotel and I loved climbing into the high 4 poster bed.
I did not realize parking was an additional $20.00 a day and the lot was small so we never drove for fear of losing a good space where our doors would not get dinged. Also, the hotel was lovely, I even like the antiqued bathroom but the television has to go! We bought our Wii with us and I was so dissappointed that I could not hook it up because the tv was antiquated and the cable sucked. The good channels were spanish speaking. The hotel was great for the money I paid. If I had paid the going rate, I would have not been as happy.
The friendliness of the staff from the young lady that checked me in to the conceire that assisted me and showed me how to get to the Riverwalk was such a breath of fresh air.
The friendliness of the staff, the history of the hotel personified and the comfort of the room was awesome.
I liked the historic old building, the decorations and beatiful furniture.
I love the historic feel and how nice and luxurious it was.
The bed was really old and squeaked every time we tossed and turn on it.
